My name is Sharon and I have been creating and constructing cakes for over twenty five years. I got started in my early twenties when my Mother was a nurse at a local hospital. I prepared and decorated cakes for my mother's friends and coworkers at the hospital. At that time I was only using the store bought candy art. I got very creative with that. I stopped and moved away for a while. When I returned I went to work for a local department store. I worked there for 6 years. I got tired of that, went home and sat for about two years. A friend asked me if I wanted to take the Wilton's cake course at one of the local department stores, I thought that was a great idea so I said yes and I signed up for the course. It was so much fun I decided to go on and take the cake course at Johnson and Wales University completed that and been in business every since.
